Acer Aspire One D257 Battery Not Charging

When rebooted i saw that the charging led was lit or 1 or 2 second may be.

Around 3 months ago my battery stopped charging and i started getting the message plugged in not charging. The original battery lasted several years then failed to charge. I have an aspire one netbook. They instruct to update the bios.

I have been using acer aspire one d257 netbook for the past 2 years. If your acer aspire has an internal battery acer has a process that resets the battery just like removing it would. Sometimes the fix could be as simple as removing the battery for about 10 seconds and reinserting it.

Acer forums do not list this battery charging issue for the ao725 model but they do mention it for a couple of other models of netbooks saying that the battery will not charge once it reaches a state of complete depletion. Put on standby and it was dead a few hours later. Well i finally took this one off line power to do some tests in preparation for traveling with this. Thinking the battery has malfunctioned i bought a new battery which was working fine till today morning when i again started getting the notification plugged in not.

I saw that it was showing plugged in not charging so i googled and tried the sollution for it uninstalling the battery driver shut down remove battery press and hold power button for 1 minute insert the battery connect the power cord reboot the pc.

After about 6 months it too failed to charge.
